Born into a musical family, I grew up around world class musicians as my Father, Christopher Dearnley was the Organist at

St Paul's Cathedral in London from 1968 -1989 literally playing to some of the biggest audiences at the time with 28 million switching on their TV’s to see Diana’s big day accompanied by my Dad with my Mum turning the pages!

Mum, Bridget Dearnley, being a teacher of music would bring home broken Violins from the schools and the odd Cello for me to repair and re string for her students setting me on the path to becoming a luthier.

I studied Stringed Instruments at Merton Tech college in 1983 where I made a handful of acoustic instruments including a cello which is now treasured by a musician of some 50 years standing in Australia, I went on to make custom Guitars for a shop in London before going on the road as a Guitar Tech full time, my first tour was back in the late 80's, a 42 date UK tour with the British rock band FM… pretty much all the clubs on the UK circuit. This had a powerful influence on me as a young Guitar Technician and inspired me to go on spend the next 35 years working around the World and in studios of some of

Rock 'n Roll's greatest guitarist including of course Eric Clapton.

This amazing journey has allowed me to accumulate a wealth of knowledge and a deep understanding of what it takes to make a guitar both feel and play great, as well as to be able to build a great Guitar.
